A64 Bedale-By-Pass Phase One

Client: Will Bro’s Civil Engineering LTD

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber

Route One has completed phase one of the Bedale-By-Pass project on the A684, replacing four Bridge Joints over two Structures with new Type 2 Asphaltic Plug Joints. Working with Will Bro’s Civil Engineering LTD, a total of 68lm of existing bridge joint was excavated and replaced.

Due to the Bridge Bearings being previously updated, installing new Bridge Expansion Joints will allow the bridge to expand and contract when required extending the life of the structure.

This project was carried out on a live road with a weekday lane closure in place to eliminate the need for full closures, and keep the disruption to the public to a minimum.
