Route One operatives installed Stirling Lloyd’s Bridgemaster System, the 3 in 1 combined waterproofing, wearing course and high friction surfacing to the footbridge at Nusteel’s premises in Kent.

Nusteel prepared and primed the bridge deck prior to Route One’s arrival. Deck preparation is carried out in order to achieve an SA2.5 finish which prepares the steel deck for the primer. Then using Stirling Lloyd’s ZedS94 anti corrosive metal primer, the steelwork is protected from corrosion and this also enhances the bond between the Bridgemaster and the deck.

The system chosen was 6mm thick with a 1-3mm Guyanan Bauxite aggregate dressing.

As the works were completed in an enclosed workshop, Route One operatives were able to install the Bridgemaster over 2No days with no interruptions or weather issues, resulting in a timely completion of the project.
